Web 2.0 has yielded a variety of fantastic user oriented sites, and one of them is flickr.com.If you love blogging and photography than you’ll be happy to know that there’s a bunch of really cool flickr related plugins that will help you integrate flickr with WordPress.
About Flickr:
Flickr is a photo sharing website and web services suite, and an online community platform, which is generally considered an early example of a Web 2.0 application.
In addition to being a popular Web site for users to share personal photographs, the service is widely used by bloggers as a photo repository.
I have personally integrated flickr with WordPress on my other blog – Flickrville, the idea of that blog was to publish some of the really cool and fun photos that i found while browsing flickr, you too can create a similar site or even way better with the 8 plugins below:
This is a WordPress plugin that allows you to display your Flickr photos and photosets on your site.
The WordPress Flickr Photo Album plugin will pull in your Flickr photosets and display them as albums on your WordPress site. There is a pretty simple template provided, but you can customize the templates 100% to match the look and feel of your own site.
Displays the three most recent related images on your WordPress blog post
This plugin for WordPress allows you to display Flickr photos on your weblog. The plugin supports user, public and group photostreams. It’s easy to setup and configure via an options panel. It also has support for an image cache located on your server.
This plugin uses ajax to load in a variable number of pictures from a user’s entire library of photos, from a specific photoset, from a group’s photo pool, or from a user’s favorites. The images are displayed using lightbox (included in download), and are then linked to the original flickr photopage. The images displayed can be displayed in chronological or random order.
Photos Flickr provides for basic browsing of a Flickr photo stream from within a WordPress blog.
