Last year WordPress designer faced some problems with theme viewers placing an extra link in the footer to direct to their site, and they did it without permission. It’s really sickening to have someone edit your theme and redistribute it with and added link to their site, but it get extremely worst as i just found out that blinger.org (yeah i’m not linking to the site!) is distributing themes and adding 3 links in the footer, yes i said 3!
I am attempting to contact the owner of the site to get my themes remove from there, if your a theme designer i suggest you have a look and see if your themes are affected as well, from what i can tell the site is still new and probably does not have much themes yet, but it’s good to check!.
**I got to know about this after someone downloaded my theme and is using in on their site - checkout the footer.

Hi Moses,
I will be changing the footer back to its original state as soon as my site is back up. I didn’t realize the additional links had been placed in the footer.

It’s not your fault Matt, thanks , your blog actually helped me discover the blinger site.

How about telling Weblogtoolscollection about it and let them highlight these thieves?
