WordPress 2.5 was released recently and almost everyone was up and about in upgrading their blog to the latest version, i have updated a few of my WordPress powered site to 2.5 while i will be waiting a little longer to upgrade some other WordPress powered sites i own simply because of compatibility issues and because i made so many changes and editing that it’s not as easy to upgrade.
I paid a visit to the Official WordPress Support Forum today and found out that some people are having problems with 2.5. although i MUST point out that a large chunk of those facing problems are due to their own mistakes and not WordPress 2.5.
Here are some of the problems:
Manage Posts in 2.5 Not displaying all posts, published, or drafts
Completely Lost All My Old Posts!
(This is really a sad case
, i am trying to help out on this issue)
Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded
Problem with the New Image/Media Uploader
A large majority of people in the support forums were having issues with the uploader, but please check this POST OUT before posting in the forums for help.

Everyone keeps referring back to this magic 8 list of solutions, but I have spent hours following the list and none of it works. Also as soon as a thread gets started addressing this issue the Moderators close the topic and refer back to the list. I mean really is this a solution?
I hate being a unwitting beta tester.

You should have backed-up your database. I did, and even though I didn’t lose posts, it’s a very useful step.
