Adii has once again created a peach of a theme in collaboration with Mark Forrester and has called it the Live Wire Series.In a nutshell here are some of the features of the theme:
Auto Image Resizer. No more do you need to upload various sizes of images to make the featured posts and thumbnails look great – instead you now only upload one image of any size and our back-end does the rest.
Author Profiles. They focussed a lot of attention and making the author profiles and archives in this theme, really, really pop. This feature makes the Live Wire theme perfectly suited to multi-author blogs. We also included our built-in Gravatar support to display author thumb images.
Built-in Gravatars. As mentioned above, they have included Gravatar functionality into the theme and it works without you having to install a plugin. The use of Gravatars can also be easily switched on and off.
Custom Page Templates. The theme now includes custom page templates for General Archives, a Sitemap and Image Galleries.
Colour Schemes. Every theme also includes 4 different colour schemes to cater for everyone’s taste!
And as always (in the previous themes) they have a featured panel, video panel, dropdown menu’s, a tabbed box in the sidebar, integrated banner ad management and lastly easily integrated Flickr & Feedburner.
The Backend:
What’s good about this theme is the backend management system or as Adii calls it “Premium News Options”, as soon as you upload this theme and activate it you will see the “Premium News Options” section, click that and you will see this (click thumbnail to enlarge):
First up is the General Settings where you will be able to set things like your WordPress version, stylesheet you would want to use (you will see in the thumbnail that i had all the stylesheets and that’s because Adii has sponsored the whole Live Wire package to me) and things like Gravatars, Feedburner, Flickr options.
Next you will see the Front Page Layout option where you can select a category that you would like to have displayed in the featured section on your homepage, display video option and Homepage entries (number of entries that should appear below the Featured Entries or Video Panel.)
Scroll a little more and you will see something that you rarely see in any other theme, and it’s called Banner Ad Management,
in this section you will be able to set the 300×250 and 125×125 Block Ad that appears on the sidebar, no need to edit your sidebar.php as in other themes and best of all you can set it to display on the homepage only if you wish.

Here is what Adii had to say about the licenses for the Live Wire Series:
We have also decided to add a different licensing option to potential buyers this time around… Considering that all 3 themes are based on a similar grid structure, the styles for the themes can be interchanged and we thus wanted to offer a user the chance of using all three themes and not having to buy all three seperately. So the Single License of these themes are available at $99.95, whilst the Developer’s License is still $249.95 – but the Developer’s License now includes all three themes, which means you get 12 different styles to choose from!
But the special new license is now called Live Wire Package – Single License. This package includes all three themes (12 different styles thus) and allows you to use the Live Wire theme on 2 sites concurrently – instead of only one. This option will be available at $149.95 and even though it’s more expensive than a Single License, you’re getting 3 times the options!
