It looks like Darren Rowse/Problogger.net’s blog is going through a redesign and i must say it looks pretty cool.
Excerpt:
Just a short note to let readers know that in the next hour or so you’ll begin to see changes to ProBlogger as we launch the new design.
As with all such launches we’re sure there will be a few bumps in the road as the team behind it get things up and running – do checks – find glitches – carry out fixes etc

Hmm, 4-column transition from 2.
That’s quite a big leap.
Overall, I think it’s a good change but I’m feeling a little cluttered now. Especially with the Category headers being same sized as the entry titles.
The colour does give it focus but the headers doesn’t help define the areas well enough.

that is tru – but 4 columns? its 3 columns with a footer columns
it does seem a little messy but I got so use to the old design that it might take me a while to get adjusted to this design

I am so glad he finally had the site redesigned. I couldn’t stand his old yellow design. It was beginning to hurt my eyes.
Unfortunately, the new design does seem to be a bit more cluttered. I liked the open feel of his previous design. This new one seems to try and fit too much content into one page.

I agree with you Jared, it looks cluttered and most of the content in the footer is from B5media blog network.

thanks for the link and mention.
actually it souns a little like some of you havnt ventured beyond the front page because while it has more columns the actual blog itself has only two and is much less cluttered than previously. Also Moses, there’s nothing in the footer from b5media at all – it’s my categories and a few other recommended resources.

Hi Darren, thanks for stopping by, my mistake it was NOT b5media
I think the design was needed and personally i think the concept is cool especially the “best of problogger” on the frontpage as your blog is filled with so many good articles over the years.
