Have you ever thought what might extend WordPress into something more? The answer is easy and this can be done by “themes”. It is a common thing for the theme developers to create specific themes that focus on different niches.

For example, a business collection with WordPress themes was posted some time ago. This collection had the purpose to help the business owners to have a good looking online wordpress site. So, the collection focused on galleries and portfolios.

So I’ve posted some themes, I considered to be ideal for the photographers and designers who don’t have the right skills to create their portfolio website by themselves. So check out these themes.

It can be created very easy, and it contains many built-in page templates, giving you the possibility to create several gallery layouts.

For photographers the “Photography” is a perfect theme built. Photography includes two wonderful color schemes and more on, it includes integrated Flickr support and galleries that are very easy to use.

If you want a professional way to display your artwork, the best choice is the Organic Portfolio Theme. The theme consists in a portfolio template that allows the content slider, additional portfolio templates, up to 3 column layout, and an option page in case you want to change something at the home page.

If you are a video or photograph journalist then best choice would be “On Assignment”. This will help you to be in touch with your potential clients, to be connected to the news or blog posts, and so on.

If you are looking for something more advanced, you can opt for a Blogfolio. This offers you original layout options to show your blog posts and your portfolio. The great advantage of a Blogfolio is that it provides you enough space where you can display your artwork.

Photolist is another option. It is a designed for bloggers and photographers, and it can be considered a minimalist list where you can display images, unique gallery sliders and filters.

If you have thought of a photo-blogging theme you can opt for Aperture. This contains a single and original home page, the newest post’s slider, a blog module, a visual category display and many stylish spaces.
