The importance of comments in Wordpress

Wordpress thrives on many elements, and comments whether positive or negative, are crucial to the success or failure of your blog. Arguably the most entertaining blogs, are ones that promote the contribution of comments of one kind or another. The better Wordpress themes, have an easy space where to leave a comment, and that the blog itself will encourage a reader of the blog to leave one.

When a comment comes through, it will probably be caught in the administration net, where the administrator of the blog, will decide if it is suitable or not to be shown on the blog. It is important therefore, that you check daily for comments. Also, if someone sees their comment on the site, they are more likely to leave another, so it is important that comments in Wordpress, are allowed though as long as what they say is relevant, and the URL left is suitable.

Saying that, do not be too afraid of a controversial view point from a reader, as long as the post is relevant. Hidden agendas in posts are easily spotted, and can be dealt with by not approving the post, or alternatively, countering the post with logical argument, pointing out a hidden agenda where you feel there is one. This will probably result in the person getting embarrassed, and for my money, is the best way to counter those hidden agenda postings.

The comments and levels of debate on your Wordpress blog will attract people to it, because everyone likes to have their say. Word of mouth is a great way to spread the word, especially on the net, so if you have a good lusty debate going on, the better. The importance of comments on Wordpress in this regard cannot be overstated.

A word of warning though, comes into play as most people can spot deliberately controversial blogs, and so these should be avoided. It is fine to have controversial blogs as long as they are genuinely so. People may feel cheated if they think you are just trying to provoke them into a reaction.

Also, remember you can and will be sued if your blog does carry anything on it that can deem to be inflammatory. So make sure that you are certain as to the nature of a controversial post, and that it is relevant, and the argument is presented in a way that is logical, to avoid getting a letter from someone else’s solicitors.

Comments can make a break a Wordpress blog, and this is true by leaving comments on someone else’s related blog. If you leave a posting on a blog, you will have a chance to leave your URL, and this is effectively free advertising for your blog. Try and keep any blog on another site relevant, helpful, or genuinely controversial, then you can be sure that it will get noticed.

The more activity that occurs on a website the better. You do not want to be telling the world about your thoughts and feelings, only to find that your audience is yet to reach double figures. The best way to get things up and running is to post blogs that encourage a comment or two. The more the better.

The importance of comments in Wordpress cannot be overstated. They serve to generate interest through debate, or as a measure of how good your blog is. Either way, they should be encouraged, and providing you have read our articles http://www.wpthemesplugin.com/tips-for-a-wordpress-comment-policy/ and
