It’s that time again!, the time to upgrade your WordPress installation to the latest 2.2.2 version of if your with the 2.0 branch than you’ll need to upgrade to the 2.0.11 version.

Today we have two security-related releases available for both users of our main 2.2 branch and the legacy 2.0 branch. As these releases include only security and minor bugfixes they should not cause any plugin or theme compatibility issues, so you have no good excuse not to upgrade.

It could potentially be headache for WordPress beginners who don’t know where to start in order to upgrade to the latest version so it’s probably the right time now to give the Wordpress Automatic Upgrade Plugin a try.

It is times like this when I miss the upgrade-free Blogger.
By the way, are you using the Auto Upgrade plugin? If yes, has it been reliable so far?

No i don’t think i will use the Auto Upgrade plugin, too used to doing things the manual way

I really wish the WordPress upgrade process was a bit easier. I am worried I’m accidentally going to delete my wp-content directory one of these times.
